I sometimes wonder what life would be like
If I would have walked down a different pike
I could have done this; I could have done that
Maybe I could have avoided that spat
With a loved one I have or a good friend fo mine
Things would have been different, if only I would have had a sign
This may be cheesy, but I really think
If I could change things with only a blink
Everyone would be as happy as me
Because that's how I'd want it; I'd want them to see
That by choosing paths wisely instead of jumping right out
By getting advice; growing up and don't pout
You will be better off, just take your time
Make good choices and you'll be just fine
Remember I'll be here. I'll be cheering for you
Hoping you will be happy with whatever you might do
I hope as your life goes by, you won't look back and say
I wish things were different, so, I don't think I'll stay
Look far into the future and think about each step
It will take to get there and how you want to be kept
Again, don't forget me, as I wait to see what you do
I will always be your friend and no matter what, I'll be here for you!
